One of the fabulous sponsors of BlogTourVegas was a company, that to be honest, I hadn’t heard of before.
Wood-Mode has been around for almost 75 years and is a leader in kitchen, bath and storage cabinetry in the US where they are based. They do have showrooms here in Canada - in Quebec and Alberta.
They offer styles that are traditional, transitional or contemporary. However, as their President acknowledges “There’s no question that the industry – and likely the consumer – tends to know us for our traditional style.” I’m sure that changing that thinking was one of the reasons why Wood-Mode jumped on board to be a BlogTour sponsor. “Have you seen Wood-Mode lately?” was a question that needed to be asked in light of all of their new introductions resulting in a diverse range of products.

It’s all about the details and options:
Wood-Mode introduced 31 new colours at KBIS to provide clients with options other than the typical white or off-white. This image doesn’t do the colours justice. I’m loving the light blue-greys as well as the deep navy colours.
My personal favourites:
Shadow Gray
Navy
Vintage Navy (where you can see more of the wood grain showing through)
They also introduced 4 new door styles (they have over 200) and I’m loving the Alexandria Recessed face frame inset door, which is 1” thick (industry standard is 3/4.”)
The drawers within a drawer allows you to have a wider overall drawer front. This deep drawer actually held 4 smaller drawers, two above two.
Wood-Mode’s contemporary style offerings include their new Rough Sawn Euro Oak Veneer. This emulates European Oak with the added texture of freshly sawn lumber. Random widths and cross cut saw marks as well as knots, splits, streaks and grain patterns contribute to this rugged look, available in six different finishes (above.)
I just loved the walnut drawers behind high gloss doors (above.)
Again, the double drawers with inserts in a vanity in one of their new colours, Jet Stream.

Wood-Mode also offers backpainted glass (water based coating on tempered glass) in 4 standard colours and 177 non-standard colours. So if you wanted to highlight a pantry, say in fuchsia pink, you could!
We were all touching a sample to see if it would smudge/show fingerprints and like magic, the fingerprints just disappeared. (That is Marilyn’s lovely hand, by the way!)
As you can see, Wood-Mode offers endless options and customization so you can have a highly functional and stylish kitchen, bath, closet, wine room, etc.
For my Canadian readers, go here or here to contact a showroom in Canada. Even if they aren’t in your province, they deliver across Canada.
Stay warm friends!
