The Canadian Home Furnishings Market features over 300 manufacturers, as well as wholesalers/importers who have an opportunity to show off their best furniture lines or new styles to retailers, designers and decorators. It is an industry trade show that takes place every January.
A few manufacturers picked up on the relaxed French/Belgian style as shown in this settee with natural linen (or linen-look) fabric…
and daybed.
This company is based in Norfolk, Virginia y’all and they source unique case goods…
like these tables made from reclaimed elm trees.
Also seeing a lot more of the industrial look – metal base tables. Most are reproductions like this.
This chair is a classic – love the fresh green fabric. When you work with a designer you have access to a multitude of fabrics. The design possibilities are endless and you end up with something uniquely yours.
A lot of sofas in grey like this one…
and this one which was so comfortable because of the down seating. The fabric is a polyester but has the look and feel of velvet but with more durability. Both of these sofas were new designs for this Canadian manufacturer. We had an opportunity to talk to the person who designs the furniture for this company, always interesting.
Aren’t the two white glossy chairs fun? Would be great for desk seating in a child’s room.
Couldn’t resist snapping a photo of this outdoor teepee daybed!
