Hey there! A couple of weeks ago, I gave a sneak peek of a kid’s bathroom that I designed. Today, I am sharing the full reveal.

Here is the sad Before circa 1980’s. Everything had to go including the bulkhead:

(Sorry client R – you were in the only photo I had showing the flooring.)
And here are the Afters:
Because it is a long, narrow room, I thought that wallpaper and wainscoting would add visual interest. I showed the clients many options for wallpaper that would work with the black and white colour story. I was thinking of either a shade of green or yellow so it would be fresh and we landed on this tree one.

I love the lanterns from Home Depot – perfect for a kid’s bathroom. The shower curtain was the final detail that brought everything together. It’s from Target but seems to be unavailable here in Canada. My SIL kindly bought it for me in NY.

And no room is complete without art, even a bathroom. These lovely prints are from this Etsy shop.

All photos by Leah Kirin.
I think the bathroom turned out beautifully. Let me know your thoughts or if you have any questions. (There is a Pin It button on the top left corner of every photo if you would like to pin!)

DeleteIt is a good tub! Thank you for giving me the heads up! What an incredible space. Those lights are unexpected but perfect!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Jane and thanks! I had been wanting to use those lights for awhile and what better space than this.
DeleteLove the transformation. Have you had any issues with wallpaper in bathrooms due to the steam? I'd love to use wallpaper in my bathroom, but I am nervous that it will peel. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! As long as you have a good fan and run it whenever someone takes a shower you should be good. Also, some wallpapers are thicker than others and say "scrubbable" on them so they would be a better choice.
DeleteLooks fabulous Vanessa! I especially love the lighting and wallpaper. Your client must be so please, well done girl!!
ReplyDeleteThanks sweetie!
DeleteLove the color combinations, soft enough with just the right amount of contrast.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by Maryanne!

ReplyDeleteThe wallpaper is AP7504 from York Wallcoverings. I purchased it through Crown Wallpaper here in Toronto but if you google it, you will probably find other suppliers close to where you live.
