This is what the tub area looked like before:
And this is the tub area now prettied up with wainscoting and the pristine Caesarstone surround. You can see that we closed in the back wall. For some strange reason it stopped before the window wall. We placed a privacy film on the bottom window as the client wanted privacy but didn’t want to block the light.
And of course I had to include art in the design. My inexpensive go-to art is a client’s own photography (I’m sure you’re tired of hearing that but it’s the truth!) Most people have a treasure trove of photographs from trips sitting on their pc’s so why not enlarge them and hang them on the wall to enjoy daily.
This is the enclosed shower before:
And the shower after:
This was the client I mentioned that didn’t favour subway tiles or marble. For the shower walls, we used a large format tile and stacked them. I was able to sneak in some marble in the niche though!
The vanity before. Yep, I used to have a kitchen like that many years ago.:
And then the vanity area after:
The vanity, medicine cabinet and mirror are custom and the counter is a dark grey quartz from Caesarstone. The tiles are large format light grey porcelain tiles laid in a brick pattern.
(All photography by Stephani Buchman.)
The client is really pleased with how the bathroom was transformed - and I would have to agree. What are your thoughts?
Happy Friday!

The tub surround is magic! Love the grey/white and coral accents. The new vanity with its square sink (what a designer touch) is great. The antique stool is the perfect touch to this updated bathroom. Oh, I need those polka dot towels!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteI am IN LOVE with this! Our bathroom at our new place has a similar enclosed shower stall and I would love to do something all glass like that in the future (we have zero money to do it right now). I'd also love to put a bigger window in our bathroom for more natural light. This is a fabulous before and after. Great design and so much inspiration! Thank you for sharing Vanessa! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words Kerry! And I'll let you in on a secret - I have an enclosed shower stall too. One day...

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Vanessa. The shower and tub area turned out really nice. I also love hooks instead of bars. So much easier to use and you can put your bath robe there too!

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!! Every detail is perfect. I love that it is not over done or too fussy. Just the kind of beautiful bathroom you could actually see a whole family using.
