Stylish First Home (Part 2): Dining Room

I recently wrote about the transformation of my clients’ living room in their small townhouse. One the other side of the living room is the dining room which was a blank canvas and needed some personality and interest.

A fresh coat of paint, hardwood floors, Canadian made, solid wood furniture, Kravet fabric, framed wallpaper panels and voila!

The wallpaper is from Schumacher and comes in four different colorways.  The clients installed the wallpaper panels themselves and did a great job.

The soft chartreuse works well with the fabrics we chose in the living/dining rooms.

The bell jar pendant is an inexpensive find from Home Depot. My clients are more than happy with the transformation.

  2. The dining room came out great!! Love the hardwood flooring for starters, and the overall look of the room is so fresh and pretty. I really like the chandelier and the two different chair styles. And the wallpaper panels are a great way to add colour and pattern without spending a lot of money.

    Great job!!

  3. Love this room Vanessa, it turned out gorgeous! I also LOVE those chocolatey wood floors!! And the two upholstered chairs are just the shape of dining chairs I am looking for. May I ask where they are from? I have been having a hard time finding this shape at a reasonable price.

  19. I'm dying to have that bell jar pendant. I've searched high and low on Home Depot and Lowes websites trying to find it -- do you happen to have any more information about the fixture? I have a horrible 'brass and glass' fixture I'm dying to update in my foyer - - this would be PERFECT!!!!! Love your blog!
