Meg Ryan’s Beach House in Elle Decor

I received the June 2010 Elle Decor in the mail today and I have to say that, in my opinion, it is their best issue yet. I’m pleasantly surprised that I received it so early (all the way up north in Canada) since it doesn’t go on newsstands until May 24th.

All of the homes featured are charming, comfortable and most importantly liveable. Even the cover is inviting and the photography spectacular.

I am particularly smitten with Meg Ryan’s Martha’s Vineyard home. She renovated and decorated the home with help from Marsha Russell of Satinwood. It was a large, open structure and she added walls – separating the kitchen from the great room and the master bath from the bedroom.

“Meg wanted someone to bounce ideas off and to find things for her,” Russell says. “But she’s the visionary on this project. She has a wonderful aesthetic and a great eye.”

To see the rest of the home, you have to pick up the issue – it won’t disappoint.

  1. Meg Ryan is such a sweetheart, and her home is gorgeous. I love that bathroom especially (ok, as a close second to the view from her window!). Thanks for posting these, I'm definitely going to have to pickup this issue now.

PS thanks for stopping by my blog and your sweet comment! Be sure and share some pictures of your daughters room when it's done :)

  4. I'm definitely smitten with that view!! And the house isn't too shabby either!! I'm still waiting for my subscription to Elle Decor to start -- hope I get this issue in the mail.

I asked Brandon about Candice's renderings -- he said that she does all of her own architectural renderings by hand except for the "perspective rendering", which is done by another artist after the makeover is complete. It's based on a video still from the show for accuracy.

Thanks again for helping us promote our giveaway :-) We announced the winner last week -- Connie from Sogni e Sorrisi.
