Some ideas to bring a little French flair to your kitchen.
I absolutely love this kitchen with its schoolhouse pendants, marble counters and black and white hex floor tiles. The drawing of La Tour Eiffel is the perfect backdrop to this modern bistro kitchen.
The next two images pair rustic tables with sparkly chandeliers – the tension is what makes these rooms brilliant.

i find myself looking at the first kitchen so many times. I can't get enough of it.
ReplyDeleteI have a minor obsession with overly white kitchens! And the chandeliers are gorgeous :) The drawing of the eifel tower is so cute, if that is chalk I wouldn't want to accidentally erase it!
ReplyDeleteI was also quite drawn to Sharon Mimran's kitchen when it was featured in House & Home. You've identified exactly what makes it so alluring....the tension of the rustic wood with the sparkle of the chandelier. Her kitchen is an excellent example of how mixing elements/styles can intensify their qualities.
